Hetzer 38(t), WWII

Jagdpanzer 38(t) (Hetzer)

The Jagdpanzer 38(t) was a lighter category of German tank destroyers made in Czechoslovakia under German supervision used in World War II. It was based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis. Its small size made it easier to conceal than higher vehicles and its 60 mm thick sloping armor gave it good survivability. The Hetzer was one of the most common late-war German tank destroyers with 2,327 built before the end of the war.

*The (t) in the name was a German designation that the tank was built in Czechoslovakia.
